When they said, “Time flies,” they weren’t kidding. It seems like yesterday when you held your child in your arms. Now, it’s time to walk them through those school doors for the first time.

And we'll help you during this incredible time with the Kindergarten Kickoff Match. If your child is 5 or 6 years old, entering kindergarten or preparing to enter Kindergarten, and you choose to deposit $100 into a new or existing College SAVE account, Bank of North Dakota will match it dollar for dollar if the contribution is made within 12 months of applying for the Match (and before the child turns 7 years old).

Here’s how to get started:

  1. If you already have a College SAVE account, and you have a beneficiary entering kindergarten that is age 5 or 6, please login to your account to select your eligible beneficiary and to complete the corresponding information to apply for the Match.
  2. If you haven’t opened a College SAVE account yet, enroll online or download an enrollment kit.
  3. Contribute $100 within 12 months of applying for the Match to potentially receive a dollar-for-dollar match, which will be added to the child’s College SAVE account.
  4. Review your budget and consider designating a portion of your earnings to a monthly contribution into your child’s College SAVE account.

Now that your child is moving on from daycare, please review your budget, and consider designating a portion of your earnings to a monthly contribution into your child's College SAVE account.

Welcome to another “First” in your family. We encourage you to celebrate with the Kindergarten Kickoff Match!
